The Irvine International Film Festival (IIFF) celebrates the power of individual expression and diverse points of views. IIFF is dedicated to bringing to Orange County the finest films from around the world. Our objective for this competition is to promote and encourage screenwriters, directors, editors, cinematographers, producers, actors and all artists who use the language of film to express themselves.
Lisa: My 10 year old son's animation film, "small vs. BIG" was selected by the IIFF. Small vs. Big
My very diverse family and friends inspired me to make this film. They come from many different cultures, including French, Mexican, Lebanese, Danish, and Chinese. For my introduction, I used my rapid-fire camera setting and filmed the word, "Diversity" being written in different languages. Then I added national anthem music from different countries. I wanted to remind people, like it or not, that we do live in a very diverse world.
